CREDIT~ what is your Score?

What is your Credit Score….PT 2

FICO (history of)
Equifax, TransUnion, Exprerian are the three main credit bureaus

So in my first post, I requested you down load the credit karma app to your phone….

How often does the credit report information update?

Any updates from TransUnion and Equifax are available through your Credit Karma account every 7 days.

I have it marked on my calendar the same day my SS comes in. This is also my budget / bill payment day!…..

So beginnings of each month I take care of all my business at the same time.

All you have to do is log in! updates will sinc when you log back in!

Under your current scores, you’ll see the dates of your previous updates and you’ll be able to access your previous credit reports.

Keep in mind that the information in your credit reports may not change every time you see updated scores on Credit Karma. Creditors typically report new information (like new balances or payment activity) to the credit bureaus every 30 days, but the frequency of updates can vary by creditor.

Since they don’t receive credit report information from creditors directly, they don’t know when a specific creditor will update your information. But by checking in regularly, you can keep track of updates – and keep your eye out for errors at the same time.

Once you are in the app….click on the three dots in upper right corner and go to settings. Make sure the green✓ is there to notify you of changes in your report.

Back to main home page…I’m only focusing on the credit, and reports…I don’t own an auto or home.

There should be two (3 didget #) ….that is your Score as of now. Notice there is a date underneath which tells you last time it was updated.

Click the upper left corner of circle under the word “Credit“…this will show your TransUnion Score. (Left side)

There will be the day which will tell you when the last update was made. Mine was Dec 29th 2018….and tells me the next update will be in 4 days

Equifax, (swipe to right) should have the same info.

Now scroll down to to the “credit factors”. There should be six boxes…

The left three will show the Hard Inquiry, Age of Credit History and Credit card use.

The right side deals with total account, Derogatory Remarks, and Payment History.

Only two that I have anything are the Hard Inquiry and Derogatory Remarks. So you can see I have Nothing as credit….

My Inquiry (ies) actually have two… only showing one on each of the two scores….

TransUnion is showing the one I got from the request of the apartment complex I’m living in..two years ago..

This should go off this month of January 2019…

The Equifax is showing the one for my cable company, and that one goes off in March of this year (2019). Most Hard Inquiry drop off about two years.

Now before I started this process, I tried…(I believe the claim of helping repairing your credit)…now there is or possibly another hard inquiry that hasn’t hit or not….was turned down by Finger Hut….still waiting on the letter of formal decline.

Now the Derogatory Remarks on both deals with a medical issue from early 2013….. which won’t go off for 7-10 years … I still have about a year to go.

Look around the different places on this app…check the the help center for a vast of information.

Next week will be informative on a few other credit tools. See you then, leave a comment or Question…
